What happened this weekend is an example of why Galmiche & Sons is one of the finest HVAC companies in our region.

On Friday night, I discovered that our air conditioning on the bedroom floor was out. DISASTER! Not only were we facing the hottest day of the year to date on Saturday, my son was to arrive at noon for our first time in almost two years since we’ve seen him to help celebrate today, Father’s Day. I immediately called your emergency service and as it was almost midnight I believe it was Kelly on call (it was late and I’m a bit fuzzy at that time) but he promised to have someone here first thing Saturday. Now I realize that at this time of the year you are swamped and that all your staff is working incredible hours as the demand for your services soars with the heat. And Kelly confirmed that was the case but that your techs were giving up weekends to make sure customers were serviced and that I would hear back from him first thing Saturday with an update.

And sure enough, at 7:15 a.m. yesterday (Saturday) Kelly was on the phone to let me know that John T., the tech who always services us, would be here soon. Sure enough John called before 9 and was on his way. Once here, he discovered that something (I don’t recall the technical term) had locked up, could not be repaired and had to be replaced. The only issue was the warehouse was closed and as we have an older unit, was not sure they even had a replacement in stock. Normally, we’d have to wait till Monday to check, get the whatever and have it installed by Tuesday. Given the circumstances of the weekend — the heat and the long lost son's visit — John made a call to shift supervisor Mike Collins explaining our circumstances. And true to your company’s form, Mike made a special effort to contact the warehouse people, determine that they had the critical part in stock, and got them to open so Mike could then get the part and personally deliver it to John at our home and together they installed it.

Our son and his intended arrived on time, and that night we were all able to sleep in our home, comfortably, instead of having to hotel it, which I was preparing to do had not John, Mike and Kelly saved the day.

Jeff, I have to extend my sincere gratitude to John, Mike and Kelly for doing what your company does best — looking out for its customers. I can’t begin to say THANK YOU enough to all three of your men for their going above and beyond to help us. Their skills as union technicians and determination to serve the customer made it possible to do the things that had to be done leaving me with the confidence that it will work as expected. And it did!!!!

Please extend to them my wife and my sincerest appreciation for their service in the finest tradition of Galmiche & Sons.

I am writing this letter to give you a huge thank you. On July 3rd, our A/C wen out at around 8:30 pm. I was at home with my two young boys, and I tried everything I could to try to see what was wrong and troubleshoot. My husband was helping me through it via text. On July 4th in the morning, it was 80 degrees in our home, and we knew we needed some help. We had used your company in April, so I called again. You sent out a repairman and we were able to get the problem fixed. It seems as if this is an ordinary thing for your company, but in a time of so much unrest, it is something we will never forget.

Why you ask? What you didn’t know was that my husband had been working all week, day and night, monitoring protests in St. Louis City. He was actually texting me from a roof, in the middle of his 15th straight hour making sure citizens were safe and that the protesters were not violent. When the repairmain came in to tell me what was wrong, he asked if my husband was a police officer. He then thanked me for his service, and explained you were not going to charge us double time and would do the service at regular charge. It was unbelievably kind and truly unexpected. I believe I may have mentioned to Mike on the phone when he asked about a part I would need to ask my husband when he woke up as he had been working protests. Such a small comment that he must have remembered. In a time where we have to be very careful what we say/do, a time where there is a HUGE amount of hatred towards my husband and his line of work, it was the first positive we had in a while. The repairman told us how thankful he was to the police and my husband (I forgot his name, but I am sure you can look it up. He was incredible professional and did an outstanding job.)

We will be lifelong customers of your company, and we will always refer you to anyone who asks about needing a recommendation. We thank you so much and we appreciate your kindness in a time with such negativity.

I can't say enough good things a about this company. Our A.C. went out on a Wednesday evening. Turned out we needed a new one as two other companies told us on Thursday but they could not get a new unit until the latter part of the next week. As is that weren't bad enough, my husband was having surgery on Monday and couldn't come home with no AC.

The second company's tech said to call Galmiche and Sons. Said they would be less expensive and might get it done faster. He was so right!

Galmiche and Sons had a tech out early the next day (Friday) and he said would do all possible to get the unit installed before my husband got out of the hospital.

True to his word, Jeff Galmiche called Saturday morning, said the situation had been explained to him and he had an installed willing to put it in that day! Less than an hour later, Mr. Galmiche showed up followed by his installer. By 10:00 we had working AC much to our relief.

To top it all off the new air conditioner is so much quieter and more efficient than the old one. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I called yesterday with some furnace issues, and was able to get an appointment first thing this morning. Kelly on the phone was awesome about finding a time as early as possible that worked with my schedule.

Kevin arrived on time this morning, heard the noise my furnace was making, and immediately diagnosed the problem. He fixed it almost as fast as he recognized it. His truck pulled into my driveway 30 minutes ago and my furnace is already blowing hot air.

Not only did he get me up and running almost immediately, he was extremely personable as well. He gave me some great advice about making my home more efficient, and didn't pressure me to buy things I don't need.

The service was $108 and billed as a cleaning/ inspection. I already forgot exactly what he said he did, but I think he had to disconnect parts, test and drain them. It's something I wouldn't have tried myself (and you might have needed things like an ohm meter which I don't have), so the price seems fair. Honestly I was afraid it would be way more.

I will absolutely call Galmiche and Sons first from now on.

Galmiche did an incredible job of a fairly complicated residential rehab. Jim worked with me to get the best layout without having to lose living space or soffit too much, and Tim, the installer, did even better than we could envision getting everything to fit efficiently. I got a range of bids from other reputable companies and their pricing was significantly better than anyone else. My only complaint was that it took a long time to get on their schedule, but the wait was worth it.

Their total installation price put the other bids to shame - and they pay their employees union scale. Mark, the installer was also great. They arrived on time 7:00 a.m. and completed the job by 3:00 p.m. the same day. Wow!

Our furnace stopped working on 1/9/2020. We had another HVAC contractor come out to do a diagnostic check. He found all sorts of problems and recommended an immediate replacement at an exorbitant cost. Galmiche and Sons had done prior HVAC installations for us and we called them. Jeff Galmiche was at our house within 60 minutes of our call. He identified the problem as a worn out inducer - that's all. However, the inducer was expensive to replace and other components were wearing out. Galmiche gave us a bid to replace the furnace with a 95% AFUE furnace at a price that was 50% of the cost of the unscrupulous HVAC contractor. Galmiche had an experienced crew at our house the very next day at 7:00 a.m. to replace the furnace. Top notch. Service cannot get better than this. A+++.

I had Galmiche & Sons install a new furnace and air conditioner at a rental house a few years ago and received excellent service and excellent equipment. When my home air conditioner went out in June 2018, I called Galmiche and several other HVAC companies for estimates. Galmiche came out the same day - even though this was the hottest time of the year and all HVAC technicians were working overtime. Other HVAC companies tried to sell inferior equipment and then used predatory pricing and priced their equipment at more than twice what Galmiche quoted for fine SEER 14 equipment. Galmiche did a great installation and the equipment works fantastic.

Only place I could find that would sell me (a noncontractor / somewhat handy homeowner) a capacitor for my AC unit.
